Work It Out

I know we’re a week-and-a-half into 2013, but Happy New Year! Unlike many of my peers, I’m not big on making resolutions. Sure, I have good intentions when I pledge to think positive thoughts, read more books or eat healthier, but after a few months (and that’s being generous) I revert to bad habits.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I’m not alone in this. In fact, according to Statistic Brain, only 8 percent of the U.S. population successfully achieves their new year resolutions. Kind of underwhelming. However, this is not to say it can’t be done. And we all know which resolution tops the charts: weight loss! This works out pretty well for the promotional products industry. Whether on the treadmill at the gym or taking a brisk walk outside, people need workout gear. And don’t forget exercise trackers, medicine balls, pedometers, towels and so on. Really, the possibilities are endless.

If you’re still at a loss for ideas, I’ve done some research for you thanks to a quick search on promomarketing.com. Here are a few ideas to help get your clients started on the road to healthy living.

(Editor’s Note: This has nothing to do with fitness gear, but today is the 66th birthday of my first love, David Bowie. To celebrate, he released his first song in 10 years. Check it out at www.davidbowie.com!)
